Carmichaels is a perfect 10-0 against Mapletown since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Mighty Mikes will be playing in front of their home fans against the Maples at 4:15 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Carmichaels has 11 straight victories, Mapletown has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Monday, Carmichaels made easy work of Bethlehem Center and carried off a 9-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Mighty Mikes, who have now won eight games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Bailey Barnyak made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 17 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Ali Jacobs was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Ashton Batis was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Carmichaels kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, while it was Mapletown who put the first runs on the board on Monday, it was Avella who put up more. The Maples came up short against the Eagles, falling 12-2.
Carmichaels' victory was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-0. As for Mapletown, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.
Everything went Carmichaels' way against Mapletown in their previous meeting on Tuesday, as Carmichaels made off with a 15-0 win. Do the Mighty Mikes have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Maples turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
