Volleyball Recap: Saint Francis' Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Saint Francis dropped their record down to 21-13 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins at home. They fell just short of the Bellarmine College Prep Bells by a score of 3-2. Surprisingly, this marked the Lancers' third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

As for Bellarmine College Prep, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 22-15. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since April 3rd.

Bellarmine College Prep can attribute much of their success to Jake Berenguer, who had 35 assists and four digs. That's the most assists Berenguer has posted since back in May of 2024.

Saint Francis does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bellarmine College Prep, they will face off against Archbishop Mitty at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Monarchs will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Bells surely won't give up without a fight.
