Softball Recap: Penn Cambria Finds Home Field Redemption Against Bishop Guilfoyle

There's no place like home for Penn Cambria, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Bishop Guilfoyle Marauders a 15-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Marauders recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Sophia Rabatin made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Marley Shaffer was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Logan Krug was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and three runs.

Penn Cambria was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .533. They are 3-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Penn Cambria's win bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Bishop Guilfoyle, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road.
