Recap: Tri-Cities Bulldogs vs. Lithia Springs Lions
The Tri-Cities Bulldogs had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Lithia Springs 59-31 on the road. With that win, Tri-Cities brought their scoring average up to 51.8 points per game.
Tri-Cities' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alyssia Bandele, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Aniya Robinson, who scored 11 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 assists.
Several Lions players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Amaya Richmond, who scored 12 points. The match was Richmond's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Aires Davis, who scored 10 points.
Tri-Cities' win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Lithia Springs, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.
Tri-Cities will be playing in front of their home fans against Therrell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Therrell will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 323rd, while Tri-Cities is ranked 138th). As for Lithia Springs, they will head out on the road to face off against Midtown at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Midtown has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 232 points over their last three matchups.
