On Friday, the Vista PEAK Prep Bison were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 65-60 to the Denver East Angels. The Bison have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Bison players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Noah Adkins, who went 6 for 11 en route to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mitchell Oliver, who posted nine points and six assists.

Denver East found their leader in sophomore LANDON EDWARDS, who went 6 of 7 on his way to 14 points in addition to seven boards and four blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points EDWARDS has scored all season. JAMES MURRAY was another key player, putting up 13 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.

Vista PEAK Prep now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Denver East, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Vista PEAK Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 55-52 defeat against Northfield on the 22nd. Denver East has also already played their next contest, a 66-55 loss against Denver South on the 22nd.
