The home team had won the previous three meetings between Pendleton and Belton-Honea Path, and Pendleton kept the tradition alive. Pendleton put the hurt on Belton-Honea Path with a sharp 8-0 victory on Thursday. Give Pendleton's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Their offense was hitting Belton-Honea Path from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Miguel Garutti De Oliveira led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Pendleton's win bumped their record up to 7-1-1. As for Belton-Honea Path, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Pendleton and Belton-Honea Path will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games.
