Last Wednesday, Choctaw County lost to Shields at home by a 54-35 margin. The Tigers were down 46-20 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Jarrod Chaney, who went 5 for 9 en route to 10 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jaydon Thomas, who posted eight points.

The win was the third in a row for Shields, bringing their record for this year to 7-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points per game. As for Choctaw County, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
