Soccer Game Preview: University vs. Salado

The University Trojans will venture away from home to face off against the Salado Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. University has given up an average of 3 goals per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

University managed to keep up with Randall until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Trojans came up short against the Raiders, falling 7-2.

Meanwhile, Salado had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They never let the Blackcats get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. Salado's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matches.

Salado's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for University, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season.
