Softball Recap: Huntington North Takes a Loss

Huntington North was the 4-2 winner over Norwell when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Vikings took a 12-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights on Wednesday. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lily Craig made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Geiger, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.

Huntington North's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Norwell, their record is now 12-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Huntington North will take on Fort Wayne Snider at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Norwell, they will challenge Bluffton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
