Soccer Recap: Liberty Victorious

After failing to score in their last game, Liberty made sure to put some goals up on the board against Trinity on Tuesday. They blew past the Trinity Tigers 9-1. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Panthers' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Their offense was hitting Trinity from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Marlene Sanchez led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Liberty's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Trinity, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Liberty has already played their next matchup, an 8-1 win against La Marque on the 17th. As for Trinity, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 4-1 loss against New Waverly on the 17th.
