Jon Boerst put up the most strikeouts he's had since April 1st on Monday. He struck out five batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

Even though Boerst couldn't lead Huron over Saline, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The River Rats will be headed into this one with a sizable disadvantage in the rankings (they're ranked 283 places lower in Michigan), but they're not letting that get them down.
