Huntingtown put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They managed a 44-38 victory over the Takoma Academy Tigers.

Huntingtown was led to victory by Autumn Harrod and Eva Powell. Harrod went 7 of 15 on her way to 17 points and seven rebounds, while Powell almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds. Powell is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down ten or more in the last ten games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Graham, who posted two points and five rebounds.

Huntingtown smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in five consecutive matches.

Huntingtown's win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.3 points per game. As for Takoma Academy, their loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Huntingtown won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Westlake at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Takoma Academy, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Takoma Academy Tigers duke it out with the Springdale Prep Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
