Basketball Recap: Zack Mccracken's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Gateway Christian over Dora

Gateway Christian was the 71-53 winner over Dora when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Gateway Christian Warriors took a 57-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dora Coyotes.

Gateway Christian's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zack McCracken, who posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Grady Munson, who had seven points along with seven rebounds and five steals.

Even though they lost, Gateway Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in nine consecutive games.

Gateway Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Dora, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-13.

Gateway Christian has already played their next contest, a 62-47 victory against Dexter on the 8th. As for Dora, they will challenge Melrose at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Melrose will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Dora surely won't give up without a fight.
