Volleyball Recap: Dunnellon Comes Up Short

Dunnellon and North Marion squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Dunnellon had to settle for second. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Colts. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Colts earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Despite the loss, Dunnellon saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Joshua Jimenez had 22 assists and five digs. With that strong performance, Jimenez is now averaging an impressive 12.3 assists per game.

Dunnellon's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for North Marion, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-6.

Dunnellon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Marion, they will head out to challenge Nease at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
