Volleyball Recap: Village Mountaineers vs. Banning Lewis Academy Stallions
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Village had no problem doing just that on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Banning Lewis Academy Stallions as they made off with a 3-0 win. Winning may never get old, but the Mountaineers sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-18, 25-12.
Erika Sayer paced Village's offense, picking up 14 kills. Sayer got some help from
Isabel Carew and her 23 assists.
Addison Miller and
Dylan Teague kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.
Village pushed their record up to 22-3 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Banning Lewis Academy, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-10.
