Jack Britt posted their closest victory since August 21, 2024 on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Harnett Central Trojans 3-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Buccaneers also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2021.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (111-106) Jack Britt actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-20, 25-23, 13-25, 20-18.

Karson Ives paced Jack Britt's offense, picking up 15 kills. Ives got some help from Sarah Badra and her 23 assists. Ives was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

The win got Jack Britt back to even at 2-2. As for Harnett Central, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jack Britt will face off against Lumberton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Harnett Central, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Garner at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
