Baseball Recap: Monarch Victorious

Monarch lost to Denver North back in May of 2025, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Coyotes came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 6-4 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).

Brendan Radder made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Blake Thompson was excellent, going 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Monarch's record now sits at 7-13. As for Denver North, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-11.

Monarch has already played their next contest, an 8-7 victory against Silver Creek on the 8th. As for Denver North, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 16-0 win against Montbello on the 9th.
