The Maricopa Rams will head out on the road to challenge the Mountain View Mountain Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Maricopa has given up an average of 7.8 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Alanee Calderon was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played.
Meanwhile, Mountain View had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 7-2. That's two games straight that the Mountain Lions have won by exactly five runs.
Arianna Figueroa was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. Figueroa was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Danika Stoddard, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Mia Quinonez, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Mountain View kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 14 hits in three consecutive matches.
Maricopa's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7-1. As for Mountain View, their record now sits at 14-4.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Maricopa hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .351. However, it's not like Mountain View struggles in that department as they've averaged .394. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Maricopa suffered a grim 13-3 defeat to Mountain View in their previous matchup back in April of 2015. Can Maricopa avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
