AA - Western Top Player Performances of the Week

Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances in games played on Thursday and Friday (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!

Jackson Presley Turns in Season-Best Performance

On Thursday, Glacier got the W thanks in part to Jackson Presley playing the best football he has all season. Presley threw for 235 yards and three touchdowns on only 16 passes, and also rushed for 46 yards and two touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

If the past is any indication, Presley could be in store for another big game when he takes on Big Sky on Thursday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Presley saw the Eagles), he threw for 394 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 16.4 yards per attempt.

Cole Zeigler Delivers Best Performance of Season

Hellgate came up short on Friday despite Cole Zeigler delivering his best game to date. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 63 yards.

Hellgate is on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7. They and Sentinel are set to duel on Thursday.

Mihelish Posts Huge Game in 35-7 Win

Merek Mihelish was instrumental in extending Capital's winning streak to six on Thursday. Mihelish turned in nothing short of a gem, throwing for 295 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, and also rushing for 75 yards and a touchdown.

If history really does repeat itself, Mihelish might just drop another big game when he faces off against Flathead on Friday. Mihelish rushed for 82 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 192 yards and two touchdowns on only 18 passes the last time he and the Braves/Bravettes duked it out back in October of 2023.

Lieberg Came Up Big in Helena's 20-17 Victory

Jaxan Lieberg was a major factor in Helena's win over Sentinel on Thursday. Nobody could stop Lieberg as he picked up 109 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Kobe Dorcheus Dazzles in Glacier Victory

The second Glacier player making an appearance here is Kobe Dorcheus, and for good reason. He rushed for 150 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, and also picked up 39 receiving yards.

Dorcheus must have Flathead's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Dorcheus saw the Braves/Bravettes), he rushed for 146 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.1 yards per carry.
