Softball Recap: Lennard Longhorns vs. Brandon Eagles
Lennard stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Brandon Eagles a 20-0 shutout. Lennard's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Brianna Nelson was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Sarita Hernandez, who went 2-for-3 with a home run and two runs.
Lennard is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Brandon, they haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Lennard will be playing in front of their home fans against Newsome at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Newsome will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Lennard surely won't give up without a fight. As for Brandon, they will head out on the road to challenge Spoto at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
