Softball Recap: Mcguffey Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

McGuffey waltzed into their contest on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Burgettstown Blue Devils by a score of 5-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Highlanders also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2023.

Courtney Bedillion spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Miley Main, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one triple.

McGuffey's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Burgettstown, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Coming up, McGuffey is taking a road trip to challenge Waynesburg Central at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Burgettstown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
