The Pearl Pirates will face off against the Enterprise Yellowjackets at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Pearl is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.

Enterprise is facing Pearl at the wrong time: Pearl suffered their first home loss of the season on Tuesday and they're likely out for redemption. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors.

Pearl saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madelyn Haller, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Enterprise, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Bogue Chitto a 12-0 shutout on Monday. The Yellowjackets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Enterprise got a massive performance out of Rainee Falvey, who went 2-for-3 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Williams, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and one triple.

Enterprise was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bogue Chitto only posted a batting average of .000.

Enterprise moved to 6-4 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Pearl, their loss dropped their record down to 9-3.

Enterprise's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Pearl has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .465. It's a different story for Enterprise, though, as they've only averaged .359. Will they be able to contain Pearl's hitters?

Everything went Pearl's way against Enterprise in their previous meeting on March 3rd, as Pearl made off with an 11-4 win. Will Pearl repeat their success, or does Enterprise have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
