Basketball Recap: BASIS Flagstaff Takes a Loss

BASIS Flagstaff was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Grand Canyon Phantoms 50-16. The Yetis were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-9.

Despite the loss, BASIS Flagstaff still got an impressive performance from Jasmine Hall, who posted eight points and 12 rebounds.

It was another big night for Jaemie Jensen, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 11 steals for Grand Canyon. That makes it four consecutive games in which Jensen has scored at least a third of Grand Canyon's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anmber Charley, who had four points in addition to ten steals and eight boards.

BASIS Flagstaff's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Grand Canyon, they moved to 2-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

BASIS Flagstaff didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 45-5 loss against Fredonia on the 13th. As for Grand Canyon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 37-30 victory against Music Mountain on the 17th.
