Football Game Preview: Bremond Tigers vs. Goldthwaite Eagles

The Bremond Tigers will head out to challenge the Goldthwaite Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Goldthwaite will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Bremond extended their winning streak to six on Friday. The Tigers claimed a resounding 53-0 win over Meridian. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Tigers just coasted through the last quarter.

Bremond's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sam Kasowski, who threw for 255 yards and five TDs on perfect 7-for-7 passing. That's the most passing touchdowns Kasowski has posted since back in October of 2024. Xavier Clark was Kasowski's top target, picking up 97 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Meanwhile, the third road contest was the charm for Goldthwaite, as they earned their first away win of the season. They took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 42-0 victory over Frost. Considering the Eagles have won three games by more than 41 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 4-2. As for Bremond, their record is now 6-0.

Everything came up roses for Bremond against Goldthwaite when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 75-47 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Eagles' Aidyn Lee, who rushed for 179 yards and three scores on only eight carries, and also threw for 118 yards and a pair of TDs. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will the Tigers still be able to contain Lee? There's only one way to find out.
