Locust Grove lost against Eagle's Landing back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Locust Grove Wildcats took a 58-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagle's Landing Eagles. The Wildcats' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Locust Grove lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Tyler Jones, who posted 12 points and eight boards. Jones is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Gant, who scored eight points and five steals.

Locust Grove's loss dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Eagle's Landing, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.

Locust Grove didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 85-55 defeat against McDonough on the 4th. As for Eagle's Landing, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 53-47 victory against Woodland on the 4th.
