Baseball Recap: Cortez Takes a Loss

The Cortez Colts came up short against the Yuma Criminals on Tuesday, falling 12-1. The Colts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cortez saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andre Shepard, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Cortez's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16-1. As for Yuma, their victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-5-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Criminals beat Cortez by a score of 22-0 later that day.
