Soccer Game Preview: Fenwick vs. Lincoln-Way Central

The Fenwick Friars will take on the Lincoln-Way Central Knights in a tournament on Saturday. Fenwick will be strutting in after a win while Lincoln-Way Central will be coming in after a loss.

Fenwick barely beat IC Catholic Prep the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Friars put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 3-0 victory on Thursday. Given Fenwick's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 97th, while IC Catholic Prep are ranked 205th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Fenwick hit IC Catholic Prep with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Lila Gaddipati, Quinn Sansone, and Keira MaGee.

Meanwhile, Lincoln-Way Central entered their game against Lincoln-Way East on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Knights lost 3-0 to the Griffins.

The win got Fenwick back to even at 3-3-1. As for Lincoln-Way Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-2.
