Baseball Recap: Whitney Young Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Whitney Young had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Morgan Park Mustangs as they made off with an 8-1 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Dolphins also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2017.

Luke Yolich was a standout: he went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Whitney Young is undefeated when Yolich posts two or more runs, but 9-15 otherwise. Theo Kimmeth was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three runs and one double.

The win got Whitney Young back to even at 15-15. As for Morgan Park, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 14-10-3.

As of now, neither Whitney Young nor the Mustangs have any future games scheduled.
