Basketball Recap: Augusta Comes Up Short

Augusta lost to Goddard back in December of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Orioles fell 55-42 to the Lions. The Orioles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Presley Schmidt continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Goddard, going 8-for-16 en route to 29 points and seven rebounds. The matchup was Schmidt's third in a row with at least 19 points. Another player making a difference was Audrianna Phillips-Blevins, who posted 11 points.

Augusta's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Goddard, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Looking ahead, Augusta will face off against Rose Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Goddard, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Gardner-Edgerton at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday.
