Basketball Recap: Coachella Valley Finds Home Court Redemption Against Twentynine Palms

There's no place like home for Coachella Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They took down the Twentynine Palms Wildcats 74-57 on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Mighty Arabs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Coachella Valley had a senior duo take command as Gabriel Lopez posted 18 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals and Israel Garcia put up 21 points and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lopez has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Franky Aguirre, who had 12 points and four steals.

Coachella Valley's record is now 10-4. As for Twentynine Palms, they dropped their record down to 4-15 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Coachella Valley will square off against Yucca Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Coachella Valley is facing Yucca Valley at the right time seeing as Yucca Valley is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Twentynine Palms, they will face off against Indio at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Twentynine Palms has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
