Basketball Recap: Peachtree Academy Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Peachtree Academy came into Tuesday's contest having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Trinity Christian School of Griffin LIONS by a score of 58-49 on Tuesday. That looming 58-49 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Panthers yet this season.

Peachtree Academy was led to victory by Liam Abraham and Caleb Jackson. Abraham dropped a double-double on 14 points and 16 boards, while Jackson went 7 of 15 en route to 16 points. Another player making a difference was Jordi Bello, who posted six points and five rebounds.

Several LIONS players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jeremiah Greene, who went 6 for 13 on his way to 20 points and four steals. The dominant performance gave Greene a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Travone Appling, who went 5 of 6 en route to 11 points in addition to eight boards and four steals.

Peachtree Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Trinity Christian School of Griffin, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Peachtree Academy has already played their next matchup, a 92-36 loss against Lanier Christian Academy on the 9th. As for Trinity Christian School of Griffin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 63-54 win against Konos Academy on the 14th.
