Basketball Recap: Westland Hialeah Comes Up Short

Westland Hialeah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 70-23 loss at the hands of the St. Brendan Sabres. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-12.

They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Angelo Puentes and Elias Pinate Castillo, who each put up eight points. Puentes also led the team in assists with three.

Westland Hialeah's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for St. Brendan, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Westland Hialeah didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 69-39 defeat against North Miami on the 4th. As for St. Brendan, they have also already played their next game, a 70-31 victory against Downtown Doral on the 5th.
