Volleyball Recap: York Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

York hadn't done well against Northwest recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Dukes had just enough and edged out the Vikings 2-1. The game was the first time the Dukes have beaten the Vikings on their court since October 15, 2022.

Sydney Jacobsen paced York's offense, picking up ten kills. Jacobsen got some help from Kinslee Kern and her 22 assists. Harley Wardyn controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

When it comes to explaining why Northwest lost, don't look at Halle Rice. Despite the final result, she had 19 digs. Chloe Thielen was another key player, getting ten digs.

The win was the fourth in a row for York, bringing their record up to 15-15. As for Northwest, with the defeat, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 21-9.

York wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Lakeview on the 18th. As for Northwest, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Adams Central on the 18th.
