Baseball Recap: A&M Consolidated Takes a Loss

A&M Consolidated entered their contest against Montgomery on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. A&M Consolidated fell 8-3 to Montgomery. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bears earlier this season, when they won 11-2.

A&M Consolidated's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-9-1. As for Montgomery, their win bumped their record up to 11-7-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as A&M Consolidated Tigers challenge Lake Creek Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Creek's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so A&M Consolidated's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Montgomery, they will head out on the road to square off against College Station at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
