Volleyball Recap: Valmeyer Comes Up Short

Valmeyer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] Cougars. If the Pirates were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Cougars when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Valmeyer's loss dropped their record down to 3-14-1. As for West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs], with the victory, they broke their 13-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-17.

Coming up, Valmeyer will host Lebanon at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs], they are taking a road trip to face off against Carrollton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
