Recap: Wabaunsee Chargers vs. Onaga Buffaloes

Wabaunsee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took an 11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Onaga Buffaloes. Wabaunsee was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Onaga apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.

Reese Michaelis made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylee White, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and a stolen base.

On Onaga's side, Addison DeChant made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. DeChant was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, a triple, and a double.

In other batting news, Emmarsyn Fordham was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. Bridgett Campbell was another key contributor, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

Wabaunsee's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Onaga, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
