Baseball Recap: Bound Brook Takes a Loss

Bound Brook managed to slip by Belvidere the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Crusaders came up short against the County Seaters on Thursday, falling 9-2. The Crusaders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the County Seaters earlier this season, when they won 5-3.

Bound Brook saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Boehm, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Bound Brook's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Belvidere, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

The future could be bright for both Bound Brook and Belvidere: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Crusaders will look to extend Timothy Christian's three-game losing streak when they meet at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Belvidere will try to hand Kittatinny Regional their third-straight loss when the two meet at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
