Basketball Game Preview: River View Black Bears vs. Danville Blue Devils

The River View Black Bears will challenge the Danville Blue Devils at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. River View is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

River View is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Sheridan on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Black Bears took a blow against the Generals, falling 58-11. The contest marked the Black Bears' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Danville lost to Fredericktown on the road by a 50-32 margin on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their meetings with the Freddies: they've now lost five in a row.

River View's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Danville, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.

River View beat Danville 47-39 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Will the Black Bears repeat their success, or do the Blue Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
