Saturday, 2 p.m. Eastern timeWhy it's big: Third-ranked DeMatha faces its first big test in Washington Catholic Athletic Conference play when it travels into the District to play St. John's on Saturday afternoon.
The Stags (4-0) toppled powers from Florida and Pennsylvania in the nonconference portion of their schedule before opening WCAC action with a 49-0 rout of St. Mary Ryken (Leonardtown, Md.) last week.
St. John's positioned itself in the WCAC race when it upset perennial contender Our Lady of Good Counsel (Olney, Md.) last week, 29-23. It was only the third win for the Cadets against Good Counsel in the last 14 meetings. A win this week would be their first against DeMatha in the series' 15 meetings since 2004.
