William Blount had already won four in a row dating back to last season and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Sevier County Smoky Bears. This was payback for the Governors, who suffered a 2-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

William Blount can attribute much of their success to Blakely Stewart, who had 11 digs and two aces. Those 11 digs gave Stewart a new career-high.

William Blount's win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Coming up, William Blount will be playing in front of their home fans against Webb at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Sevier County, they will head out on the road to square off against Cocke County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Smoky Bears' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
