Geneva's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with an 11-8 victory over the Conneaut Spartans. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Gianna Markijohn, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since April 1st. Claire Cafaro was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Geneva kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Geneva's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Conneaut, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Geneva has already played their next game, a 12-3 victory against Maplewood on the 26th. As for Conneaut, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 13-2 loss against Madison on the 28th.
