Newtown has gone a perfect 7-0 against Kolbe-Cathedral recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Nighthawks will look to defend their home field against the Cougars at 3:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Newtown's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while Kolbe-Cathedral has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Newtown will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Sunday, then bounced right back against Weston on Monday. The Nighthawks were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over the Trojans. The Nighthawks haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous four matchup, Kolbe-Cathedral brought some dynamite into their most recent game. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 13-12 win over Joel Barlow on Monday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Cougars as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Kolbe-Cathedral's win bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Newtown, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5-1.

Newtown took their win against Kolbe-Cathedral in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 13-1 score. Will the Nighthawks repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
