After both having extra time off, New Bern Christian Academy and the Faith Christian Academy Conquerors will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Tuesday, New Bern Christian Academy got the win against Jacksonville Christian Academy by a conclusive 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for New Bern Christian Academy.
The win didn't come easy: Jacksonville Christian Academy scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-22, 25-23.
Bella Lawrence was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had seven digs and three aces.
Lawrence wasn't the only good servers: New Bern Christian Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jacksonville Christian Academy only served eight.
Meanwhile, Faith Christian Academy hadn't done well against Christ Covenant recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Conquerors came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 3-1.
While Faith Christian Academy might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Christ Covenant scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 23-25, 25-19, 25-21.
Faith Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for New Bern Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 14-4.
New Bern Christian Academy took their victory against Faith Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in August of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score.
