Croswell-Lexington extended the longest winning streak in Blue Water Area this week by beating Imlay City, 54-0. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Pioneers.
Armada and Yale played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Armada eventually emerging with a 12-7 victory. Zachary Sand ran for 137 yards in the win.
Algonac's dynamic duo of Mike Baranowski and Darrin Teschler proved tough for Almont to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Baranowski threw for 26 yards and one touchdown and Teschler had 26 yards receiving.
The Muskrats' Baranowski and Tyler Banks have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Baranowski has thrown for 198 yards this season, while Banks has five catches for 185 yards. The Tigers' Nicolas Burton leads the league in rushing yards with 680.
A big matchup in Blue Water Area this week will be when the Raiders take on Croswell-Lexington. Almont is in third place, while Jason VanDerMaas's team is in first place.
