Basketball Game Preview: Southlake Carroll Dragons vs. Northwest Texans

The Southlake Carroll Dragons will face off against the Northwest Texans at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Southlake Carroll has four straight wins, Northwest has ten straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Tuesday, in a tight game that could have gone either way, Southlake Carroll made off with a 41-40 victory over V.R. Eaton.

Meanwhile, Northwest suffered their closest loss since December 28, 2023 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Keller Central by a score of 41-38.

Southlake Carroll is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season. As for Northwest, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-20.

Everything came up roses for Southlake Carroll against Northwest in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 57-30 win. Does Southlake Carroll have another victory up their sleeve, or will Northwest turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
