Baseball Recap: Hallsville Comes Up Short

Hallsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Mexico Bulldogs, falling 21-2. If the Indians were looking for revenge after losing 6-0 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Hallsville's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Mexico, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hallsville will take on Christian Fellowship at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Christian Fellowship has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.2 runs per game on average), something Hallsville will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Mexico, they will face off against North Callaway at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Thunderbirds will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight.
