A Season-Best Effort from Kade Pape Leads Marion over Randolph
On Friday, Marion got the W thanks in part to Kade Pape playing the best football he has all season. Pape rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 203 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
The win made it two in a row for Marion and bumps their season record up to 3-4. Pape and Marion will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Ingram Moore at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th.

Luke Davis Delivers Best Effort of Season
Llano was led to victory by Luke Davis, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Davis threw for 240 yards and four touchdowns on only 18 passes, and also rushed for 53 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
The victory (which was Llano's fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-1. Davis and Llano will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Randolph at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th.

Jose Danny Maldonado continued his hot streak on Thursday by dropping his third-straight game with at least 150 rushing yards. He rushed for 167 yards and a touchdown.
Florence has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. Maldonado and Florence will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Randolph at 7:00 p.m. on November 1st.

Llano picked up their fifth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Trey Mote. Nobody could stop Mote as he rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 100 rushing yards.
For the year, Mote has run in 11 touchdowns while averaging 111.6 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he had two rushing touchdowns.

Carsten Hays produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Llano to the win on Friday. Hays wasn't messing around, picking up two sacks and making 14 total tackles. The match was his seventh straight with five or more total tackles.
