Softball Game Preview: Waynesville Spartans vs. Springboro Panthers

Waynesville hasn't had much luck against Springboro recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Spartans will challenge the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. Waynesville has given up an average of 14 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Waynesville's offense. They lost 12-0 to Talawanda on Tuesday. The Spartans just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Meanwhile, Springboro came up short against Northmont on Wednesday, falling 14-3. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Springboro saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bri Schul, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Another was Aubrey Coffey, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Springboro's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Waynesville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Waynesville couldn't quite get it done against Springboro when the teams last played on April 8th as they fell 19-14. Can the Spartans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
