Softball Recap: Blacksburg Takes a Loss

Blacksburg scored first but ultimately less than Cave Spring in their contest on Friday. They fell 14-10 to the Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 back in April.

Sullivan Shealor led a balanced group of hitters, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Keely Semtner was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Blacksburg now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Cave Spring, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Blacksburg nor Cave Spring have any future games scheduled.
