While Reardan might've come up empty on Saturday, Tysen Finch wasn't going down without a fight. Finch was unstoppable, striking out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

Even though Finch couldn't lead Reardan over Northwest Christian School, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Screaming Eagles haven't beaten the Crusaders recently, having gone 0-10 since April of 2021.
